Settlements and Gameplay Loop!


So, the game was lacking a key component which technically existed and was being working on for a separate release, but it is clear that it is integral to game as a whole both thematically and to uphold a proper gameplay loop: Settlements. 

The gameplay loop will involve managing Player Character Stress against Community and personal Stressors. All Characters begin in one of these Settlements; all Settlements are ailed by various things such as infrastructure failures, some corporation leeching off of them, maybe some upstart fasch decided to try and take over and is annoying everyone so hard they wake up with constant migraines, but a CONSTANT and omnipresent stressor is The Shore. Now, anyone can fight against these things (and are doing so even in our meatspace beyond the game), but Psions are special in that they can weave more... *creative* solutions to problems with their Paracausal abilities granted to them by their Ancile. However, this power comes at the cost of Stress. 

Not to be TOO topical, but it is a game of balancing one's own mental health against those things that accost them. But you get magic, and have lots more bodily autonomy than IRL.
