9.2 Update!

WOOO!!~

Hello, all!
This is a pretty significant update, actually!

Everything's still free, and I know last I talked, I said the previous update was going to be the last one till I got proper art, but I was suddenly stuck with a bolt of motivation to take a hard look back at this game.

Firstly, Skills are alot "harder", there is a solid list of choices now similar to games like Armored Astir or Monsterhearts. Skills also have several more mechanics too them, making investment matter. The game also has a clearer mode of play wherein it is the PLAYERS responsibility to roll all Actions; the Director doesn't need to roll anything. Progression has mechanics now instead of just leaving it to Director discretion (it makes alot more sense than just "yeah you leveled up, I guess). You actually know what you're working toward, so you have a better idea of when you should be advancing!

Ancile and Paracausal Powers has been completely unfurled, and feels ALOT more powerful. "Probability Dice" have been removed and replaced by "Attunement Points" which again have specific means of regeneration which isn't reliant on Director's choice. (Gosh I like this...)

The Body Shop has a few changes, which ties into how Harm works now. Health as a separate stat from Vitality has been removed - this works well in games like Lancer where sustained, crunchy combat and longer scenes exist, but... seemed excessive in a game where "damage" is more or less "rare". Wounds are what matter now, and they MATTER... getting hurt suuucks.

The NeuNet as written before was a fekkin' mess that I thought I'd found endearing, but the more I looked at it the uglier it got. I go a bit more into detail about the function and mechanics and lore while also keeping some of the previous unhinged charm~

The Machine Mind pages as well felt very out of place, but now I've managed something more attractive AND some more fluff!

Finally, I've added a few new pages detailing the corporations and [redacted], as well as added several more "notes in the margins" for additional fluff!

AAH!! I'm really happy with this, actually... for those of you that follow, and perhaps those who have played with the game, thanks! It means alot.

Cheers,

Nabi
