YOU ARE NOT MORTAL, the City of N't

Have you ever wanted to play as the dragon? Or demon? Or one of those other weird immortal shapeshifting creatures often sequestered to the "monsters" guidebook?

     Most fantasy-stylized adventure-type ttrpgs (what a mouthful) focus in on the "mortal experience". Of fleeting things existing within a world of gods and monsters, fighting or playing at a world they have limited autonomy within. Granted, within such a setting, and within the realm of a game, such characters have ALOT more freedom than the reality we all live flesh and blood (we often use these games to escape that monotony, don't we? To explore ourselves as well as something new?)

     But still, that Mortality is often put on a pedestal, while things supernatural, things alien and mutable are often little more than set-piece or plot, and often the things to be slain by the underdog heroes.

     This game, YOU ARE NOT MORTAL wants to challenge and shatter that modality; it is a foil to mortal exceptionalism which allows you the players to be the gods and monsters in the world. As shapeshifters, your bodies will truly belong to you as expression of yourself, intimately connected with the magic flowing through you, timeless and eternal and unbothered by the trappings of trivial death. 

     This first installment of the game shall take place within the Wandering City of N't, a metropolis which warps across space-time every few hundred years filled with Mortal and Mutable things alike; living their lives and working with the City's Factions to help the City grow. You'll establish connection with new cultures, fight existential threats to the City and its peoples, and grow, mutate, change ever unfurling into yourself as you develop new Skills and learn new Spells. 

     This game is an exploration of what it means to BE, and asks you what you will become. Perhaps you'll come out on the other side question if being mortal is such a great thing to be...
